Ingredients:

3/4 cup yellow corn meal

1 cup all purpose flour

2 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 egg plus 1 egg yolk

1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup thick sour cream

2 tbsp. butter

 

Directions:

Combine all dry ingredients. Blend beaten eggs w/ milk and sour cream. Add gradually to the dry mixture - then melted butter. Bake in buttered iron skillet at 425 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.
