Dover: Loretta Labrie, 93, Formerly of Renaud Ave, died on Tuesday, Jan 17, 2006 at the Dover Rehabilitation & Living Center in Dover.

She was born on May 19, 1912 in Dover, NH; the daughter of Henry and Mary (Hayes) Keating. She was a lifelong resident of Dover, NH, a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Dover, 1929; she attended Dover High School and she was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Dover, NH staying very active with St Joseph’s Church for many years prior to her disablement.

A former member of the Altar & Rosary Society, a member of St. Joseph’s Choir for many years, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Dover Cooperative Ministries Auxiliary, the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed reading, loved and wrote poetry; an artist and many of her oil paintings are in homes across the country. Her greatest joy was being with her very loving family and friends and being blessed with their sincerest love. She made friends easily.

She is survived by her son, Robert F. Labrie and his wife, Gayle of Dover, NH; her daughters, Constance A. Labrie and her companion, Janet Dendy of Salisbury, MA, Gloria J. Herron and her husband, Richard of Tucson, AZ and Diane J. McElhiney and her husband, Michael of Turlock, CA; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great- great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Labrie, her parents, her grandson, her great grandson, and her five brothers, John, James, Henry, Peter and Leo Keating; her three sisters, Elizabeth King, Mary Stackpole and Margaret Cavanaugh.

Friends and family may call at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Sat., Jan. 21, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Church, Central Ave., Dover, NH with Reverend Robert F. Cole pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at the St Charles Cemetery on Old Rochester Road in Dover, NH.
