Patrick began using AWS before they advertised what it was, because he wanted to know how Amazon was so successful with their web-based businesses including their shopping system and how they fulfilled their orders in so little time. Patrick doesn't have all of the answers, however he does know a lot about running businesses from the Cloud, or even hosting basic websites. Patrick is familiar with the Infrastructure as a Service business quite well, and knows his way around Amazon's infrastructure, however he also knows how it all works in the background - such as Kubernetes, which allows for containers to be created to contain resources of larger systems.
